The company’s first U.S.-based test lab features comprehensive testing capabilities and complementary services to provide its North American customers with high-quality, flexible supply chain validation and fast turnaround times and customer-centric service.
Over the past two years, the electronics industry’s efficiency-driven procurement process has increasingly broken down, and the disadvantages of relying on a few sources for semiconductors and other electronic components have become apparent. If demand exceeds supply, supply bottlenecks, price jumps and delays in the entire manufacturing process are inevitable.
It is shortage conditions such as this that has counterfeit electronic components sprouting up everywhere. At Cleveland’s Jack Kilby Testing Center, a well-trained engineering team offers the full range of AS6081 required test methods (levels A1-A6 and C), starting its first phase with documentation and packaging inspection, detailed visual inspection, X-ray fluorescence (XRF) and X-ray analysis, heated solvent testing, decapsulation and die analysis, solderability testing, cross-section, and electrical testing including temperature range.
